Designer: Kaj Franck - 1962
We like a clean, simple line, along with a smooth edge and a wide enough mouth so that you can appreciate how dark your coffee really is. The Teema mugs from Finnish design giant Iittala have been favorites for years and are part of the larger Teema collection. Designed by Kaj Franck in 1962, the whole collection is based on "familiar and basic shapes - a circle, a square and a rectangle." Franck started with these shapes and then reduced all that was "excessive" until only the "essential" remained. We think he got it right. This is the last mug you'll ever need.
